Hi, I'm Karissa

I’m passionate about helping people navigate life’s legal challenges with care, clarity and a personal touch. Whether you’re dealing with property matters, wills and estates or family law issues, I’m here to provide the support and guidance you need.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from CQ University in 2018 and completed my Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Laws in 2019. That same year, I was honoured to be admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland.

My career began at a local law practice, where I developed a strong foundation in various areas of law. In 2021, I completed my Master of Applied Laws, with a focus on Family Dispute Resolution. I'm now an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and Alternative Dispute Resolution Practitioner.

The Story Behind Median Law

In 2023, I took a leap to create Median Law, a practice that allows me to choose my hours and achieve a greater work-life balance. This flexibility means I can dedicate more time to what matters most—my family, my clients and my passions.

Speaking of family, let me introduce you to mine! This is my husband (and high school sweet heart!) Barry, and our two little babes, Aliyah and Eliana.

They're my greatest joy and the reason I strive to create a balanced life, where I can be present for both my clients and my loved ones.

When I’m not working, you’ll often find me enjoying the beach, catching up with friends over a meal or indulging in my love for coffee (I’m a bit of an enthusiast). I also enjoy a round of golf when I get the chance.

At Median Law, I believe that legal services should be approachable, transparent and tailored to your unique needs. My services include estate planning and administration, conveyancing and family law.

I work across Queensland, covering Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Gympie, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Mackay and the South East.
